Replacing an older oven this weekend.

I was also looking an induction stove options but there are not many to chose from.

I assume the air fry has an element that stays on for the duration while the air is circulated?

My understanding is that they are the same. Both use a heating element and fan for circulation. There are some differences in how this is done though with some manufacturers calling theirs TRUE convection. I believe those have a heating element near or in front of a heating element.

We have a convection oven now and I like it. We are considering changing to a convection that has the two oven range option with the smaller oven on top. Two ovens in the space of one would be great.

I ended up with a Kitchen Aid convection oven.

Cooked a couple of pizzas in it earlier his evening.

True convection has a fan that blows constantly over an element. Most mid-tier "convection" ovens only have the fan that blows intermittently

A convection oven circulates hot air. An air fryer is a type of impingement oven...it blows streams of hot air from several directions focused directly at the food.

Thanks.

We were looking for an Convection/Air Fry combo but the KA I found was too good to pass up.

Does anyone need a retractable KA downdraft vent? I have no use for it and it’s brand new. It came with the purchase.

I have a counter top air fryer that can only cook about 10 wings at a time. I imagine an oven one would so a lot more wings at a time.
And they come out very well.
