cloning fig cuttings with a cloning machine

Guys any of you try this? I would think it should work very well as figs are very easily propagated. I have propagated them with solid over the years and just started messing with air layering last week (will check them in October and November).
I do have a clone king machine that i have cloned Dwarf Buford holly and Spartan Juniper with success earlier this year. I just put some figs (LSU Gold, Brown Turkey, Italian honey and O'Rourke) today. But wanted to know if any of you have tried with success? If no one here, has I will be sure to share the updates on this over the coming days/weeks. Thanks.

I’ve heard it works but the roots are fragile and sensitive.
Check out the forums at Ourfigs.com if you haven’t already done so.

Air layering for the win; should have mega roots in 35-40 days - where you at CT?

I don’t have any problem direct rooting cuttings with no prep…stick them in and walk away. What does a cloning machine actually do?
Edit I looked up the clone king that looks pretty cool. And cheap too
interesting

Figs are the oldest propagated plant in the world. They usually aren't picky. Several years back I pruned our tree and gave a neighbor a bunch of cuttings. He wanted to plant them in a row towards the back of his property. He had more than enough cuttings to do what he wanted to do, so he just tried some things with a few of them. One he petty much planted upside down, another was barely in the ground at all. Every one of them made it. He's since passed, but the trees are still producing. I think they lost a couple from the deep freezes of the past two Winters.

I have propagated many figs with cuttings in soil. I just started trying to air layer a few weeks ago so I'm looking forward to tge results. And OYB I'm in Breaux Bridge.

Thanks for location CT - I have a Black Marseilles fig for you (one gallon pot, air layered Spring 2024) and expect to travel I-10 to East Texas in early October. Shoot me an email if interested - oyb7573@ao_.com

Guys here is an update to my clone king progress. I have also included a pic of my fig row which is one area where I have my now 15 varieties. On this row in particular I have from front to back of picture: LSU Purple, Black Mission, VDB, LSU Gold, Celeste and Smith.
As far as the cuttings in the clone king, most appear to be starting root buds after exactly 2 weeks.
