Clicking/rattling ceiling fan under an AC vent - any suggestions?

I have two ceiling fans in my den. About a foot outside of each of them are my vents in the ceiling.
When my AC kicks on the fans make a clicking/rattling noise. I think it's because the vents are blowing on the edges of the fan blades making them shake.
Any suggestions on how to stop this?

Make sure everything is tight.
If there's a cap over the ceiling mount, make sure it's pushed all the way to the ceiling.
Also check the fan blades. Those screws frequently come loose.
Try directing the vent away from fan, if adjustable.

^^^
I hate fan ticks/rattles. My first thing is always tighten the screws on the fan blades. There is usually some screws on the wooden part where it attaches to the base of the blade and then more screws where the base attaches to the motor/hub.
Also check for light/fan chains tapping against the lights or housing.
Sometimes you can get ticking from the base swiveling in the ceiling mount.

Rattling noise for mind is almost always solved by adjusting the tension screws on the globes

Holy shite this. Even when we rented a house a few years ago a few of the fans rattled, so I replaced them myself. Replaced every single fan in our current house right after we bought it. Our bedroom fan has a very slight tick that drives me crazy. There's two air vents on opposite sides of it and the vents are directing air towards it causing it to shake. I need to get up there and flip the vents around. Maybe that'll be my weekend project for the other thread.

You sure its the fan rattling and not the louvers on the ac vent?

Turn the grills to blow away from the fan

If you can't turn the grills, you can always buy one to fit your needs. If you're using the square grills, they come in multiple direction configurations. Some only blow one way, some 2 way, others 3 way and most used are the 4 way grills.
Get one that will direct the air away from the fan.
