Christmas lights on metal awning/roof

Does anybody know how or have any ideas to get C9 bulbs to stay onto a metal roof? Since they are c9 they have to be uniform standing straight up. There’s just no friction. I’ve looked online and in store at Walmart but nothing that will do that signature look.

I want to say they make a magnet that attaches to each bulb and you can attach it to the roof

I actually have a buddy that installs Christmas lights and he said they use hot glue to attach to metal roofs, he said the glue pops right off the metal at the end of the year

I was thinking hot glue as well. I wonder if they have a cordless hot clue gun. The magnetic clips don’t work for standing C9s straight up.

I didn’t ask about the specifics of the hot glue gun so can’t tell you on that. I think Milwaukee or someone makes a cordless hot glue gun that would do the trick, but he did say that they pop off clean and the glue all sticks to the bulb itself

Home Depot is selling the Ryobi cordless with a battery and charger for $50 right now.

Metal roofs are either cheap aluminum or thin steel. Usually 28 gauge, The paint finishes are carbon based pigments that break down over time ....dull looks.
Step up to commercial and you go the cheap route or
Kynar 500 finishes.....30 year warranty and using a ceramic pigment technology. Just to inform .....over 1.5 million square feet marketed , sold and installed at the Caribbean Beach Resort at Walt Disney World. That was one project and I sold the hell out many more before leaving the Company. A lot of KFC and Pizza Hut buildings....the only red roof that stands the test of time.
You can get away with hot glue guns. Or magnets if the roof is steel.

I use plastic clips and it holds them upright. They work perfectly.

I use those black binder clips you get at Office Depot.
