It was just a manual.
I just hate paying for stuff twice.
I'm a 1 and done type.
Today I used an edger, weedeater and mower that are 17 years old.
Going to film some football this afternoon with a camera that is 15 years old.
Will drive to the game in a car that is 22 years old and when I get home I will wash my clothes in a washing machine that is 22 years old.

I'm not very good for the economy.

Are you planning on doing a Reelcnc conversion?
I'm pretty sure I'll end up getting the Scott's 18inch and the reelcnc conversion with 11lb roller.

Nah, I'm gonna keep it simple for now.

How's everyone doing this season? How are the conversions going?

Hey, given your dive into this, I figured you would be the one to ask...is there a chemical that kills Bermuda but not St. Aug?

Recognition herbicide paired with Fusilade II

Probably the only option and probably not cheap.

If you have flowerbeds you shouldn’t. Bermuda takes root in flowerbeds and is IMPOSSIBLE to get rid of. You have to dig deep to get the root out. ALL of it. If you don’t have flowerbeds then go for it.

I hate Bermuda because i have beds, and when one little strand gets in my beds i go nuts. I don’t know where it comes from- the neighborhood i guess. (I have a mix of Augustine and centipede)

Lot of talk here on the subject, it's pretty basic, whatever grass you grow requires maintenance, if you like weeds in your yard just cut it and do nothing else, you will be rewarded with a shite ton of weeds

Bermuda is a different animal all together, to look nice it takes more work and money than others, I use a reel mower and prefer a green/fairway look, just my choice, some of us just don't care what our yard looks like, whatever type you choose will require some work just my 2 cents

Only way to get rid of bermuda is to dig it up and that ain't a 100% guarantee in 2022 I nuked one side of my bermuda to re sod every blade was gone down to dirt, i missed my opportunity to re-sod and in 2 months that side of the yard completely recovered,

Started my slow but steady St.Aug to Bermuda transition this season due to losing a lot of st aug to drought stress and construction project damage last year. Aerated and tropdressed/leveled with light layer of 50/50 screened topsoil / sand in March. I spread a 2lb bag of Riveria grass seed in April which I think did absolutely nothing, I don’t think any of it germinated so I threw in some Latitude plugs here and there.

Now I’m just coasting with cultural practices, cutting at 1 inch with rotary 2x per week and ferting with 0.5lb N per 1000 every other week. Bermuda is finally starting to hit stride, taking over in areas. I will say St Aug is a lot more resilient than I thought - even at 1 inch it is still thriving in some areas. Plan to spray some quinclorac next season to thin the st Aug out more in the denser areas.

Overall it’s been a fun lil project. Obv could’ve done roundup and resod but where’s the fun in that? I will say mowing at 1” is so much more satisfying that 3”. Love putting the 1” line up against my neighbors on each side

If your Bermuda isn’t popping this year you’re doing something wrong (at least in dfw). Steady rain and have not hit 100 yet.

The ‘muda is definitely popping, st Aug is just way more resilient than I gave it credit for. Takes mowing at 1 inch like it aint shite. The Bermuda is creeping tho. Next year will be dandy
