Some people think it's worth it to drink a cup of coffee over a pristine dew covered bermuda lawn that's cut every three days at 1".
I love cutting my bermuda on a thursday evening so I can drink my coffee and look at it Friday morning since I don't work Fridays.

I need to get my act together after leveling.
It's really green, but too tall with patches of weeds from all of the watering.
Tomorrow makes two weeks.

I need to do that next year. To be fair this is my first year in the 4 I've owned my house that I've had a back lawn. I tried st aug, centipede, zoysia, and celebration bermuda. The zoysia and the bermuda are the only two that have thrived. Last year the late frost nuked all of the centipede in my front and back yard. I need to get my soil tested.
This is May of 2023 when I first started plugging Celebration.

This is May of '24. The lighter patches are zoysia, the bermuda is slowly choking it out.

I let my wife put that wildflower box there when there was no grass. The bermuda rooted it's way up through 8" of dirt and filled it. I'm taking that out as soon as her flowers stop blooming since she won't take care of it.

Damn son
I'm taking that out as soon as her flowers stop blooming since she won't take care of it.
That celebration is impressive.
Where did you get the plugs from? Are you the guy who mentioned getting them from a Father in law who has a celebration lawn?

Yes, they're from my dad's lawn. He sodded centipede in 2016 and the celebration was mixed in a few places. He fought it for a few years but gave up and now it's completely taken over.

This blows my mind.
You can cut it once a week if you only feed it every 2-3 months and are ok with maitaining at 2 to 2.5"

By replacing it with Bermuda will increased your time cutting.
That's why they have PGR. I sprayed it and only cut my bermuda yard every 8-10 days.

I’m brand new to this Bermuda thing and I’m just reading nonstop. I was letting common take over my back yard (with pretty good success other than needing to do some weed treatments). 2 questions for you Bermuda guys: I see the Bermuda Bible says Celsius and certainty kills 99% of weeds in Bermuda and anything else basically paint roundup. What’s the genetics of Celsius and certainty? Secondly….im now convinced I want to plug celebration. Where would one get celebration plugs?
