I have read reapers normally do not produce until the weather starts to cool a bit. I first noticed a few flowers two or three weeks ago but still now peppers. I have it on a covered porch because I found when it was younger it was extremely sensitive to the heat and sun. Could it be no bees. butterflies etc or coming on the porch to pollinate it? I am a little nervous about moving it to a new location when it has been in this spot for months. I have also read that to much nitrogen can hamper production because the plant spends its energy on new foliage. It is over six feet tall. I have been giving it regular miracle grow once a week but also my other pepper plants and they are producing like crazy. Any ideas?

I have no idea, but why are you growing something that makes you miserable when you eat it?

Never understood this.

I enjoy making hot sauces for friends and family. Also for the novelty of it.

Pollinate with a paint by numbers size paintbrush. Add fresh coffee grinds

I would put it in the sun. It needs plenty of light to produce and wind to self pollinate. Alot of young peppers cant handle the Louisiana summer heat but since it fully grown and only in the mid 80's it will be fine. Also why do you fertilize so damn much ?

A lot of plants are triggered by night time temps. Tomatoes stop producing fruit in the summer when night time temps are too hot and in spring and fall when it’s too cool.

Also use a fertilizer for tomatoes or flowers. The typical miracle grow is very high in nitrogen. I’m not sure why it’s so popular. Marketing I guess (and everyone brags about how tall their plants get).

Yea you need something high in Phosphorus & Potash. The 2nd and 3rd numbers on a fertilizer bag. I use the Dr Earth Flower Girl : 3-9-4

Yikes! I'm surprised it is still alive. Go easy on that stuff. In fact, just stop.

Not really

Peppers need lots of sun

I suspect your issue is sunlight, or lack thereof. My reapers have tons of fruits, and have for several weeks. Now I got to figure out what to do with them
