our last kitchen we had room and put a bar on one side with cabinets, ice maker and a sink. The cabinets were full and the ice maker was used daily, especially since it was already in the kitchen. The sink was never ever used. Being so near the kitchen we just always used the main sink.
we use ours as a coffee area as well so we use the sink all the time. But thinking about it, without the coffee, you wouldn’t use the sink often

You can get an idea of the space here. Island with sink is on the left. Area to be converted on the right.

In the middle, we have this area as a coffee bar now.

I’d consider duplicating the general design of the one on the left. Maybe some funky shelves for decorating storage for a middle section versus all cabinets areas? A good cabinet guy can have that thing built and installed and prob would have great design ideas

That is what I am hoping TF. I called two guys who were recommended here but neither has called back. With the recent storms here, I may have a hard time locking a guy down for a small project like that any time soon. I think all the resources that are worth a damn are probably covered up with work. We will see.

I would love to have the time to do this myself. I looked around and there are some 8 foot cabinet sections that would work and are available out there. I just dont know how well I could trim it out or do any customizing. Plus, I just dont really have a lot of extra time.

I may just have to be paitient and wait.

Seems like you just want a cabinet unit built, then installed.

No need to get a contractor or carpenter involved.

Roughly sketch out a plan, go visit a few cabinet shops, they'll draw it up in a minute and give you a quote, including installation. Then you can paint it, or pay somebody to.

One thing we did that you may consider, is on the lower section, we built two large drawers behind cabinet doors that we have our liquor in. Makes getting to the stuff in the "back" very easy.

That's why I love this place. Y'all always have great ideas.

I am building a new house and really like this flooring. Any idea what kind of flooring is pictured?

It is ceramic tile. We have it throughout the entire house. I have a case of it in the garage, I will take a picture of the box today when I get home from work. I will tell you that I really like it, but the model home in our neighborhood has a little wider and "smoother" tile and I like it better.

I think ours is 3' x 6". The model home has 3'x8".

Google is your friend here. Simply Google home bar(choose your style and use that adjective).

Then find the pieces of various bars that you like: wine racks, fridge, ice machine, open/closed shelving, glass shelves, find ideas of tile that would look nice and fit your style.

Then try to draw and lay it out. Maybe you find exactly what you want and can copy it.

Once you pick a couple of inspiration photos and the specific needs, then bring it to your local tile/countertop store and they’ll help you pick the best things to blend together along with what you currently have.

Doom scroll on Pinterest. I search there for hours to days before I’ve seen a few ideas and then use the best of what I’ve seen there.

You’ve got more room than we did, but here’s what we did. I didn’t originally plan to put in the sink, but my house is pier and beam, so it was a pretty easy change and I’m glad I put it in.

etting water there overhead isn’t that big a deal but if there’s no drain that is a big deal. We have a huge L shaped built in bar with sink and drain with a nice cypress bar top…that we never use

Had a wet bar 2 houses ago. Was better at catching shite when we came through the door than the elliptical we had to have 3 years. Neither was ever used for their intended purpose but both were great for keeping 8 month old junk mail in plain view....
