Pretty cool but how often are you using it after the build and do you have a warning bell for visitors?

I would use that. Stupid pool-attached hot tub makes my feet crack if I don’t use lotion right away. Jealous of your property. Don’t let that Wax Myrtle ruin your view.

Can I ask you the dimensions on those vertical posts you used as the main supports and how far into the ground you put them?

they are treated 6x6. I got 12’s and 14’s intending to set 24” below grade but this was in the midst of the drought and the hard pan clay was like concrete. So I managed 18” but I went 24” diameter on the footings. In this case they are all also tied back to the main frame of the carport

24” would have been better but it’ll do. If I had to worry about uplift (flood or a roof) I’d have dug a continuous footing between the columns.
