Having trouble uploading pictures to show pictures but my lawn looks pretty terrible. If anyone has any tips or can point me in the right direction, it’s greatly appreciated.

Replace with Bermuda problem solved, problem staying solved.

I just put down barricade so I have less of the problem I have now with spring weeds.

What the nature of the problem - full of weeds? I’m in BR and my front and side yards are centipede, and centipede hasn’t greened up yet, so it has that “looks bad, dormant grass” look.
Centipede thrives in more acid soils and acidic soils not particularly abundant in Baton Rouge. You might want to pull some soil samples for analysis by the LSU AgCenter for pH and nutrient analysis. Stop by any Cleggs, LA Nursery store or Burden Research Station on Essen and they will have the soil sample boxes, postage paid, with instructions. You can mail in 3 samples per box, $10 per sample analyzed. They will provide results with instructions how to correct any deficiencies.
If your issue is weeds, you should read the Pre-emergent thread on the H&G board and put down a pre-emergent herbicide very soon, and also spray the existing lawn weeds with the winter weed cocktail which is also provided in the pre-emergent thread.
And if you can figure out a way to post pictures that would help.

I have a St Aug and Centipede mix. I just sent off a soil sample (one for my garden, too) to the LSU Soil lab today.

Did that yesterday and I’m already seeing some wilting. I’m going to go check out that pre-emergent thread too. My yard needs a lot of work. We moved into the house a year and a half ago and last year I didn’t really do anything to the yard cause it was still filling in. Now I want to try to get it right. The weeds are insane right now.

Definitely get on a late winter and early fall pre-emergent herbicide program. I never used pre-emergents prior to 3 years ago, and it’s was Poa annua (annual bluegrass) that finally induced me to start using them. Will likely reduce your lawn weed issues by 90% or so. Pre-emergents don’t eliminate all lawn weeds, but it’s worth every dollar you spend using it. .
