A few times that week. Last week it stormed and we had 5” rain with water ponding in a number of areas. Question. Any Bifen left or do I need to reapply?
No experience with it but keep seeing it recommended for fire ants so I put it down. Input is appreciated.

You should be good to go. Re apply a little sooner is all. I do it every couple of mos anyway.

From the webs
Typically, Bifen XTS as well as many other liquid insecticides only need about 30 minutes to dry. Once dry, they can hold up to rain rather well. However, it is much easier for the product to bond to porous surfaces like concrete and siding than grass and your lawn. You may want to apply again just to be safe when there is not rain in the forecast for at least 24 hours. Typically, for fleas it can take a week or two to see results. You should treat every 14 days for fleas. It usually takes at least 2 to 3 treatments since Bifen XTS or any other product will kill the eggs. You need to treat every 14 days, 2 to 3 times, so you make sure the product is strong enough to kill the hatched eggs every 2 weeks.

Okay can do. Wasn’t sure if it could be “rinsed” away. Thanks for feedback.

since youre targeting fire ants, id say after that much rain, youre going to find out real fast if there is any residual activity left.

I always recommended second application 2-3 weeks after first then about 3-4 months apart after that.

Did you use bifen xts or I/t? The xts had a much longer residual. If it was regular it’s probably gone.

I use the granules. As said, rain just means you have to apply it more frequently.
