Best portable AC unit for a vehicle?

The ac in the old truck i use to drive out to and around the camp finally went out after 20+ years. If it was my primary vehicle it would already be in the shop but this is my grandpa’s old truck from years ago so im not crazy about spunking a couple grand out for a full repair.
What are some good portable options for a vehicle? I thought i could slug it out but by the time i got back to the main highway i was dying.

Confused - most, if not all, portable AC units are going to run on 110 household voltage. Your vehicle is 12 Volt. Do you plan on installing a power inverter also?
You could always mount a generator on top to run a window unit.

Do you know what went out on it? It might not be as expensive a repair as you think.

Its usually very easy or a PITA to fix A/C stuff. You can rent most of the tools from AutoZone etc etc for free

Fixing a car AC is exactly same as the home: As long as it isn’t the inside coil, easy peasy.

ZeroBreeze makes a battery operated AC.

We use a Mark II in our squaredrop camper. Should work ok for a pickup cab esp if windows tinted.
Won't freeze you out but may keep you somewhat comfy. Not cheap.
