Did an Allswell for under $500 from Walmart at the recommendation of my friend and his wife. My gf and I are both pleased with how firm it is. We can always soften it up with a pillow top but as we are getting older the firmer mattress is a good thing

as do I. and not just the 1" latex buried between some cheapie foam like you get on the mass market brands. 2-3" on top of some springs min.

Got a Hybrid about 6 yrs ago. Had them adjust top layer after a month at no charge. Been best I have ever had.

I will up vote the Sterns and Foster. Its well worth the high price tag. We purchased the Reserve 2 years ago and its the best purchase we've ever made.
