You would think we could do well with all the bugs for them to eat

have you seen bats around your place? Whether they move in or not is hit or miss. We had bats in an old tree that blew down so I put up a box but they never used it

bats are awesome set up a few more.

until you get dived bombed as a kid scary as F

in Youngsville as a kid there were plenty, I'd kick my foot ball like a punt straight u and the bats would just harass that ball. really cool to see as a kid

That is nowhere near high enough. The bats require I think 8-12' of drop before they can start flying. It'll be hard for them to echo locate it to roost in it in the first place as well because it's so close to the ground.

IMO you don’t want bats close to your house. I had a so called bat house by my garden, equal distance from my house with a Martin house and I saw no bats in bat house but plenty of wasps and found a bat in our half bath vanity while I’ve had plenty of purple martins yearly and none in the house. This is in Lafayette la. Martins do as much and don’t come in the house.

You best be sure your home attic isn't acçessible or you'll hage bats in the attic.

This is true. My neighbors had a small next in their house. Was reluctant to tell them bc we 100% noticed a decline in the summer mosquitos, it was night and day.
