Looking for options for pressure washing a dock & boat where there’s no water source (other than a lake)
Just seeing what y’all use or had best results with.

I’ve never looked into it, but I would imagine that the pressure washer is designed to work with regular water pressure coming in from the water company, not as a siphon.

You would need a inline pump to pump water from the lake to the pressure washer pump. The “hose” doesn’t have a suction

drop a trash pump into the lake with a hose, connect the hose to the pressure washer, plug in the pump, start up the pressure washer

Waterbug pump from HD should work. It has 2 regular hose outlets.

Yes I have. I have a pump mounted on my cabana at the camp. It sucks water from the canal and I use it mostly as a hose pipe but it will feed a pressure washer but I don’t have it sized to feed a pressure wash. You have to make sure you have a big enough pump to get the flow rate right. To low of a flow rate can burn up the impeller in your pressure washer

Curious if the small particles you will suck up would clog the pressure washer nozzle?

Yeah, I’m curious about that as well
I’m looking at Waterbug thanks to LeastBay above, and their website says it filters out particles & debris. Maybe tying a rope from the dock so it’s suspended in the water might be better though, instead of simply letting it sit on the sand/algae bottom.
And the WaterBug siphons 1,300 gph, so that’s more than enough for a pressure washer.
Edit: WaterBug says you “can’t” hook it up to a pressure washer cause it will damage and burn up the motor.
