I've got one in the den that I got during COVID that has dimming? issues. The brightness isn't uniform across the entire panel. Also, keep getting a message saying that it's low on storage, but don't really have a ton of apps on it. It's a Google platform. Have a couple of others that haven't had any issues. For the price can't really complain. Might move it outside soon and replace. Would consider another, but seems like they might be getting away from the Google platform but haven't really researched it much.

My previous den tv was a top of the line Samsung that didn't last as long as I had hoped. I don't think I'll ever buy another top of the line tv. $2k vs $650 and they lasted about the same amount of time.

Hisense is Chinese and started in radio and appliances about 1970. They bought Hitachi. I see them often in hotel rooms. The picture and streaming functions are quiet good, and they are low price Right now we're seeing a lot of convergence in TV technology that's allowing low cost makes/model to perform quite well. For most viewers there is little need for a high-price TV. The big exception is sound, but you can buy that completely separate from the TV.

I’ve had a 55 inch Roku version on the patio for about 4 years. Still going strong

I put a 65" U7 series in my kids game room a few years ago. Very happy with it.

I have the U8 from 4 years ago. It’s good but I have to restart it occasionally due to WiFi loss. But it then works fine
