Need a storage solution and building the shed/shop of my dreams isn’t in the cards just yet. Thinking about buying a portable shed for the time being and one of the local brands available is Derksen. I figure I can build a lean-to awning next to it to park my boat and store other large outdoor items. I’d grade the land around it to make it appear level with the ground (it wouldn’t be up on blocks).

If I’m fortunate to build the shed I want later in life I can either move this one to a different location on my property or potentially sell it.

Thoughts?

They are a big seller around my neck of the woods and my neighbor has one and I haven't heard him complain about it. My dad has one from Yoder's which is a local Mennonite company and seems to be well built.

I have one being made by them now. 6-8 week delivery from order date & prices went up 10-15% after Laura. I went through their yard in Derrider and they seem well built.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a shed company near the Northshore? I'm looking for a 10x12 gambrel roof shed.

I have a 14 x 36 Derksen. Delivered December 2019. Well built, no flaws and no short cuts. Had thm add the wiring and roll up door. Better quality materials (lumber) and workmanship than my neighbor's 36' Tuff Shed built on site. Don't go with Tuff Shed.

I have a 16*26 I use as a woodshop. No complaints. Had it for almost a year. Good construction.

Excellent bump. I’m about to pull the trigger on one. 16x24. Wood with metal roof. One 3068 9 lite door, one window, 9’ roll up garage door. Price for everything is about $10.6k out the door.

Would you mind me asking what your total price was for comparison?
