Looking for building quality reviews. Should I just build it myself?

We purchased a storage shed kit that was delivered to our home. We put the shed together and hired someone to help with the roof sheeting and to install a metal roof. The shed is about 4 years old now and still holding up well and is very sturdy. This is the one we choose and we opted to build our own floor: LINK /

My two cents from experience. It's usually better just to pay for assembly.
Even if you are fully qualified, there are usually unexpected complications and it always takes a lot longer than you think it will.

Unless it is financially burdensome, let them do it.

I did one with my old man a couple years ago, they're not particularly difficult

we used this site, you can buy custom plans that will literally line item out what cuts to make, what wood to buy, etc

I had Tuff Shed Baton Rouge build a 14 x 36 on my property and the did a crappy construction job. Gaps in studs and header, loose jack studs above doors and in gable ends, gaps in roof decking. No customer service at local and national levels. Do not buy Tuff Shed. I also have a Derksen 16 x 36 building on property and it was built, delivered and placed properly. Would but Derksen again or a Cook building. Not Tuff Shed.

I bought a built a shed kit from Lowe's about 10 years ago. In the 3nd I wished I would have just bought the lumber and framed my own. I did it because of time but not really sure I saved much time over just framing my own.

What size you talking? Assembly gets exponentially more difficult the larger you build.
