single pane of thick shower glass; roughly 8x4 (floor to ceiling) in bathroom remodel. what am i look at roughly and how long?

going with no door, all tile floor & walls; just a divider for the shower you can walk into. i assume i would have to wait & get final measurement once the tile is in.

also, what do you think of this idea?

See below. That's an installed number.
Tile needs to be installed to measure.
Current lead time is about 3 weeks from time of final measurements.
As for the idea, we do it a lot. It's not my cup of tea as it can get a little chilly in the shower. We've gone back on several to add doors after the homeowner used them and got cold/water everywhere.

Sorry for the hijack, OP. Don't kill me Chicken for trying to hustle and make a sale. I got kids to feed.

ok i'll let you know; we are at the demo phase; need to get the tile and fixtures in.

good point about being cold. hmm, i wonder if a whole-room heater might help. its a very small space.

Finished it today. Still have to hunt down some flashing for the bottom half but I decided to light it up anyway. I’ll probably do a couple burns in it to season the inside before I put some meat in it.

I’ve thought about using an old fridge with freezer on top turned upside down. Then adding a hot plate or fire box in the freezer part. Just an idea.

That probably wouldn't be bad for cold smoking, but I'd be hesitant to use it to actually cook food in due to all the plastic crap lining the fridge/freezer.

Unless you plan on gutting it and just using the metal shell.
