Was thinking of doing a second application of pre-emergent. Any problem going out in this wet weather and doing the application?

I need to put it down this weekend. For some reason I always procrastinate on pre emergent application. I guess because it's passive control and you don't get to watch the weeds suffer and die.

Depending on where you are and when you put down your first app, you may just be wasting it. It's past the point of germination for poa annua. There are more knowledgeable folks here that can speak to this.

I usually just put down one app in the fall at 1/2 the annual rate... no need for a split application (I do this in the spring, though).

You'd have to give the date and rate of the last application. Other than that wet weather is fine for pre em.

First week of October. Not sure about the rate other than I mixed with the gallon rate and sprayed the entire yard.

Yep - needs to watered into the soil where weed seeds germinate to be effective so…..

Would seem to be overkill if you applied pre-emergent in early Oct unless you were applying a different pre-emerg that was more effective against a problem weed that the pre-emerg you applied in early Oct doesn’t have great efficacy on. For example, applying Simazine or Isoxaben now to target lawn burweed whereas you used Prodiamine or Dimension in Oct.

I applied Specticle in October. I have a good bit of Prodiamine left from before I bought the Specticle, I was going to use the Prodiamine.

Personally, given how good Specticle is, I’d ride it until late winter (say mid-Feb) and use up your Prodiamine then. It’s actually what I do now in my own lawn. I apply another round Specticle in late April/early May to largely deal with Doveweed which Specticle is very effective against but the other pre-emergents are not.

No need to apply anything else. Specticle is the goat.
