Looking for a recommendation on having some flooring put in on an Airstream. Airstream flooded a while back, ripped up the flooring and there are some rotting issues with the subflooring in a few spots, so that'll need to be replaced as well. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

I’m assuming you mean contractor recs to have someone else do it?

Yes. I’d try to tackle it myself, but don’t have the time to do it currently.

The RV shop can only work on it if we bring it in. The RV is not moveable, so it would need to be done on site. I should have stated that!

Thanks!

If you can’t move the RV, the best bet is to make time to do it yourself.

There are some excellent YT videos on airstream rehabs. I know of at least 1 that tackles floor replacement.

During covid, find time and rehab that RV - the value is at a high point if you want to sell it.

This. And my choice of product for the sub floor would be 3/4 inch treated tongue and groove edged plywood.

I'm just replacing parts of the sub-floor, not the whole thing.

Yeah, then you have to match what's already there, and make sure you seal the edges good after you cut out what's bad.

Go ahead and replace the whole thing

I promise it is the wise move - and I bet easier that a patch job

Why is that? A mobile RV service is not likely to happen and if so would be a lot more expensive.

I’d think any flooring person could do it fwiw. Probably cheaper then a RV repair place.
