That will be hot AF in the summertime here in S.E. La. if that is where you are planning on building. Especially with no insulation and no electricity.
You either haven't really thought this out or your "misery index" is pretty steep.

I don't know the terrain, access to the ground for delivery trucks, or even the type of foundation for the building. Slab, is it possible? Pier and beam? Lots and lots of unknowns. Is there power at the site?

Dang fishfighter, that link and thread is an afternoon killer.
Once I get my back feeling better, I will get back on the project and try to rap it up.

I'm doing takeoffs and looking at lumber prices like another poster suggested, and the lumber alone, for quality lumber, is getting high really fast.
I thought the timber business was in the shitter, but lumber sure as hell isn't cheap.
Now I'm leaning toward a used rv trailer and just build a pavillion over it, and some storm fortifications to the west and south of it. Basically piled-up spoils reinforced with logs, like you see around old forts and whatnot.

Self insure man. What are the chances it gets wrecked in 5 years? If it’s lasts you 5 years and you do nothing you are golden. If 10 years it made a hell of a lot of sense. Don’t sweat it.

I'm confused. I'm not picking up what you are putting down.
