Just had new St. Aug sod dropped just over 2 weeks ago. Been watering 2-3 times a day and first cut will be this weekend. Forgot to take a picture before I left the house this morning, but I am still having some dried up spots around the seams. Have a couple of spots that appear they didn't take, but not overly concerned as I can just redo the sod in better weather if they don't take off over the summer.

I am thinking about dropping some fertilizer after my cut. Thoughts? I see the recommendation is 0.5lbs/1000 sq. of nitrogen; but not sure if it that should change being it's still "new" sod.

If I put atrazine down will it actually kill my bermuda or will it damage/suppress then keep popping back up?

I've got a beehive in my backyard and my hybrid bermuda made quick work of the weed barrier and mulch I put down underneath. Atrazine and 2,4-D seem to be the only bee safe post-emergent but I don't want to be making constant applications if I can help it.

Anyone have any good tips on fixing herbicide burn in bermuda? I had a single spot where I had to stop to move some play equipment and forgot to turn the sprayer off. IS it worth fertilizing to bring it back or just replace with plugs?

I had a burn spot last year end of the season from MSM turf and it's just now filling back in. I fertilize plenty too. If had to do over I would dig up layer of soil and replace with new dirt and then seed/sod/plug.

Is there an ambient temp restriction for Tenacity?

Label doesn’t say anything about temps however some online diy posts suggest I need to be less than 85 degrees.

Will be using it to spot spray a few patches of crab.

Edit- 1 more any problem spraying right after I mow? Or should I wait a few days?

I put down Scott's Bonus S in mid April, which looks like most on here don't recommend this particular fertilizer. I assume I need to put more down now. Any recommendations on which one to use? Would milogranite work? Sorry for dumb questions. Thanks!

Use Milorganite. Over ferting St Aug can encourage fungus’ to explode.

I would have a fungicide on hand but it might not be needed. You can take a wait and see approach.

Has anyone put out PGR yet? I did a blanket Celsius application about 10 days ago so I wanted to let everything settle before I put out my T-Nex.

Assuming high phos level already present in soil, does the additional phos Milo/Hou-actinite have any meaningful negative effects on the grass? For synth fert I usually avoid phos where possible, but obviously this isn’t an option for the poo-based fert. Just curious on your take here.

If you’ve done a soil test and you have really phosphorus then I would use another product. High phosphorus can inhibit nutrient uptake.

Any idea what’s up with this spot in my yard? It’s got patches of dead bermuda while the rest of the yard is fine.

How can I control purple nutsedge in St Aug right now? Feel like this heat/lack of rain has the lawn stressed right now. Don’t want to stress it more with an herbicide. I have MSM, but not sure that it is very effective.

Without being on the lawn I'd say it is mowing. Only the tips of bermuda are green. How long was it between mows?
