Why is the formatting of the SEC board messed up for me?

Did I miss the memo on the Beta version? None of the avatars are showing and none of the icons are the same as any of the other boards. There's a dot, instead of "new" for the newer threads. What's going on, and how do I fix it? It looks like crap.

hound, I am here for you. I will get you through this difficult time. It sounds like you are in desktop mode.
Ovals have been compressed into dots to indicate new activity on the forum. Not a big change, and something you would be used to if you have an iPhone. The dots made it easier to be color codes to the board's color scheme. And took up less space, which was becoming an issue on mobile… We are trying to share functionality between desktop and mobile when it makes sense.

This is terrible for whatever it’s worth. Cheapens the feel of the board - makes it feel like a plug and play forum.

It was Dhillip and his team'a idea. Circus Child was very lukewarm on the idea, and it didn't bother me.
We had some discussions this morning about it and it looks like we will be yanking those generic looking avatars

Let me be clear, the old oval has simple been compressed into a dot. It still an oval, just a compressed oval. We could add a tiny "new" the dot if you want.
