What's the point of the upvote/downvote system if we don't know what our scores are?

so I can scroll through a thread and know which comments are interesting/terrible without having to read them all

if its a long thread that I don't really feel like reading all the comments, I scroll through and look at the upvotes/downvotes to see which comments are worth reading

I can write code that can strip that info fron the page and report it to you.

Most people have. Which is why the whole concept is stupid.
