Nsync vs. BSB
Old country is REAL country
Nickleback is for figs
That will make up 50% of the posts

Which means it will still be better than the Rant the socccer board or any IM thread

Why not?

Local gyms, nutrition stores, athletic suppliers would probably be down.

If Tiki Tubing is a sponsor of the OT, I would think any number of companies and organizations would advertise on a fitness board that targets multiple demographics... but in particular the most coveted one of College students and young professionals. (This is fitness we are talking here, not major purchases)

i think they should make it into a hybrid with the outdoor board.

title it "recreation board" or "fitness and outdoor board", whatever.

why would we want a hybrid board when we can get a stand alone board?

makes no sense for people to be against more boards when it has no effect on them

Why not just make a new board titled "Health and Fitness Board"?

Then combine music with the MTV and title it "Music, Movie, TV Board" or the "Arts Board" as TulaneLSU calls it.

That way you only have to create one new board, and you add three new topics of interest: music, health, and fitness.

im not against more boards ftr just thought the hybrid could be a trial transition.

if demand is met, turn it into a standalone board.

Would not generate more traffic than a music board AT FIRST.

But it would be more appealing to potential sponsors as society has gone bonkers for exercise and keeping kids and adults in shape. Companies would love to get in on that board as the admins made it grow into a free infomercial.

One of the big things that would have to be established is the discussion of grey market and beyond type stuff. Would there be a moratorium on all PH talk, or just no talk on where to get the illegal ones? Stuff like that would need to be ironed out.

Rabble rabble rabble!

ETA: I agree that the admins above who laughed at the fitness board bringing in more sponsorships are shortsighted..

A LOCAL health and fitness board brings it a lot more sponsors than just one more music board on the internet, when's the last time you saw an ad for music on the internet? hardly ever, because everyone just pirates it anyways. I see supplement advertisements all the time - easy ad support as well as local-ish support from gyms like snap.

the supplement, fitness, nutrition market is a BILLION dollar industry; hard for me to believe that any board would generate as much profit as the potential of a fitness board would bring.

someone makes a thread about cell tech or oxyelite pro and thousands of bros with fatceps are gobbling that garbage up like cake.

The dietary supplement industry alone is a $60 billion industry.
