Upvotes and Downvotes Should Not Be Anonymous. Why not identify sources to enable discussion about their opinions? That is the whole point of the board, isn't it?

It seems like it slows down a lot of threads or steers them certain ways, people can just downvote something they don't like and don't ever contribute to the conversation. Voting is also used as a metric on other message boards while here it's just some pointless feature. If I see a post I don't agree with but it has 50 downvotes, I usually don't even bother with a response
It's really not a big deal but I liked the site more without it. I do enjoy mass downvotes though, it's entertaining to see some people break a thousand plus for shite posts

Sometimes I upvote a post I dislike because it's 27-3. Or downvote one I like because it's 2-28.
