After seeing the thread talking about tab then spacebar to submit your post, it got me thinking.

Could you set the first link to highlight on the Thanks for posting page to be the two options "Jump to my post" and "return to Board"?

That way you could tab+space to submit then tab+space again to go back to post or tab+tab+space to go to board.

Right now the default option of tab brings you to my profile down thru those options, then to home, lsu, secrant ect, then to the boards. It doesn't make as much sense as just making the original option to tab straight to the two options.

If this is possible it would greatly improve efficiency.

The only way this will be beneficial is for in game threads, otherwise it will be the demise of quality posts.

I don't think so. It would just allow you to get back to the action quicker. Doesn't mean you have to post faster...

can you also set a 5sec auto refresh on every page? I like to watch my posts and see if people thumb up them.

Why would you add a dumb idea to a request/opinion that actually makes sense? Its too easy to press F5 to refresh anyway... This is a fair comment looking at something that some people have said they dislike in the past

I'd have to agree with this.

No it's not "hard" to click, but otherwise I can do the entire post without having to move my hand to my mouse. Which to me makes the entire process easier.

And Im not super great with html or anything, but I have to think it wouldn't be very hard to change where the tab puts your cursor. I would think it's a simple line of language.

It's actually easier than that, it's just an attribute added to the link tag.

I mean I don't think a single person would be against it, and I know a few people who would be for it, so if it isn't much hassle I think it should probably put on the agenda of new updates.

you can't speak for everyone...

I personally am against it. people know where the jump to post button is and where to click it. If they swap them, we would be returning to board with every post. Civilization would crumble and humanity would fall apart at the seams.

He's not asking to swap them, he just wants the tab key to jump to those links first instead of starting at the top of the page and working through all the menus.

It would look the exact same and for anyone not interested in using it, they would not have a single change. It is a win/win situation.

It should be a toggle function in your account profile as to how you want to interact with this navigation.

If I can turn avatars/sigs off, I should be able to skip that splash screen to "my post" or "return to board" by my choosing.

Eta: for the "more banners/ads" argument, mobile doesn't even see them... Ever. (for now, :knockonwood:)
