Those boards won't and didn't bring in more users.. a tech board will bring in more lurkers and users.. will also have sustained momentum, that will always last.. which means all the other boards will lose some bandwidth because of it.. during Issac and the Olympics, traffic was routed to those areas, so nobody notice.. a tech board that is perminant is just.. different.

Well, regardless, my hope is that we could simply get a legitimate response on this. Either a "Yes, we hope to implement this in the future", or, "No, we have no plans for this."

The Gaming Board and Music Board really are quite slow most of the time, though.

Just because a board is slow does not mean it is not needed or informative. The chance of a board that covers a topic that a large portion of the population has interest in increasing its popularity as more people find out about it, is significant. Don't banish a board just because it's not as popular as you like in it's current state.

I do support a tech board though. It could be more for than just phones.

That's short sighted thinking. I've read some pretty darned good tech stuff here on the OT from time to time.
There are probably 8 or 9 guys deep into IT that read OT regularly.

No, because the gaming board does not complement the tech board. Its just posters into Call of Duty, NCAA, and Skyrim. Let them keep their gaming board and give us a new one.
