I think the dislike button is really needed.

To admins, if y'all are reading this, check out studioleaks.info. It's a forum that I frequent with a really nice like system for posts. It also has a good notification system to let you know when one of your posts has been liked. Also I think this site could benefit from a mention system. For example if I put @dpizz450 in a post, I will see it in my notification system and it will direct me to that post.

I'm actually starting to agree.
1. Remove the "Like this post text".
2. Add a red, "downvote" icon next to the mint green "upvote" icon.

ETA - "Reputation Level" is a good idea. For example, for every 20 upvotes you receieve, you gain a level. Your level would appear under your username. Once you hit level 10, you then need 30 upvotes to gain a level until level 20, and so on.
Downvotes, of course, would affect this. So, if you start calling out someone in a thread and acting like a fool, and incur downranks, your reputation level drops.
