Can you get banned for starting too many threads?

Say I started 15 threads on the OT in 10 minutes. all with different questions/statements/information. As long as it's not trolling, could someone get away with that?

I know someone a while back that was banned for bumping a couple dozen old threads on several boards like 3 in the morning.
