Can The Rant be shut down?

Or else more heavily regulated?
Because seems like 80% of the posts are anti-LSU made by POS LSU fans (we seem to have a lot of them), other teams fans or trolls.
It's a complete fricking cesspool of idiocy and an embarrassment for anyone that loves the LSU Tigers.

I have two solutions for you:

2. If you do not do number 1, don't be a pussy and get your feelings hurt about what other people say about a sports team.

I agree with you. Unfourtuantely you won't get anywhere with it here. Those threads are the norm now, and admins seem to have just accepted it because those people are probably driving the majority of their ad revenue.
Call those idiots out and you'll get messages and bans, but they are free to do as they please.

That's my whole problem. Posters can constantly bash coaches, players, etc. I'm not talking about just discussing something, I'm talking constantly degrading coaches and players. That is ALL allowed. But let someone call them out on the BS, and that person will get dealt with.
At this point I almost don't mind getting banned because its becoming a horrible place to post, and the admins seem to be child like and contribute to it, rather than fix it.

Rum, there's more than a few posters with that opinion.
I'm being honest here, no other motive than love and support for LSU, it's toxic to the point of avoidance. I don't pretend to understand the business side of it, maybe all that negative shitposting (and its pure shite) results in good profits, but it sucks trying to read through and get info on stuff and seeing the constant barrage especially when it's obvious the poster is an idiot.
Moreso, potential that recruits or players reading this bullshite n

Yeah, it's pretty awful. If I didn't know any better, I'd think we went 4-9 last season instead of 9-4. But it's been happening for years on The Rant and the admins have shown that they don't think it needs to be changed so it is what it is. There are other boards on TD.

Then i realized a couple things.
The rant generates more traffic for this site more than any other board except the babe board.
That pays bills.
Also, the majority of lsu fans, even "diehards" on this site, generally love lsu sports, but this is the one place they can vent about anything, so will say anything anonymously
Take it with a grain of salt or, dont visit the rant with expectations of learning how to create world peace
Then i realized a couple things.
