Cad was flaming the Amazon thread all day, how can he get away with it?

It was obvious. Any time someone posted a negative experience about their shopping on the site, he chimed in with a stupid remark, made SOLELY to trigger the thread and the other posters in it. And add in comments like, "More like Amazon CRIME day, lol," and by this forum's guidelines, he's flaming.
For reference: 2. DO NOT “flame the board.” “Flaming” is the deliberate act of creating a post in order to incite members of the board and invoke a negative response.
Sounds pretty spot on to me.
He made a ban bet, and lost, so he is gone (as long as he adheres to his word). But I am curious about how he was able to get away with it? Is he an admin? Friend of the admins?

I was serious with the other posters last football season. On the new orleans saints ban bet, thread got whacked thus void.. I think wed have all been out of luck.

It's crazy how advertising is frowned upon on this site yet an all day thread promoting the business and sales of an e-commerce giant like Amazon is not only allowed but basically encouraged.
