Bottom Stickied Threads: A Discussion

I understand why y'all don't like season long threads, it's boring for posters that frequent a board to see the same huge thread always pop to the top and it's hard to sift through. 100% agree.
That said, bottom stickied threads are worse than purgatory, borderline hell.
There has to be a better solution.
I love this website, it's still the best on the Internet even 18 years after I first joined. Chick and the boys (girls maybe) are elite in their foresight. I just don't understand the bottom sticky. It was bad; it still is bad; and continues to be bad.
Please take this under consideration, for what's it's likely worth (nothing).

Open to a better solution that keeps it on the front page, but not popping to the top.
With the notification system and the ability to subscribe to threads, not sure why the bottom sticky doesn't work

Meme thread should be stickied to the top on Poli... it is affecting my quality of life knowing that I miss pages of memes.

Chicken, some of the stickies on the MSB go like a week without even flipping over 1 page. Maybe there is something wrong with me but it is just not aesthetically pleasing when you view the page. Seems like you all have just agreed to put a sticky on anything

This is one of the big issues. There should be VERY few stickies given out, but those given out should sit at the top. Message Board UI 101
