And hold up. "What a tough job they have?" You're kidding, right? They monitor a message board with absolute power.

Run along now.

Do you realize how many admins there are compared to the amount of idiots on here?

You seemed to miss the point. These aren't IM threads. They have specific topics and posters stick to them. The issue seems to be with the frequency and how that's displayed in the title. Daily/Weekly.

This

daily/weekly =/= IM thread

As long as it stays on topic I don't see what the problem is.

I got an PM about "post whoring" before I got banned a few weeks ago. I don't really understand what it is or why it applied to me.

Do you have any expertise in this area?

Like a small number to a big number?

You're more naive than I thought if you consider message board admin a tough job.

ETA: Now let's be clear. I don't have a problem with any of them. They do a good job keeping the trash to a minimum. But let's drop the whole "oh my what a tough job they have" arse kissing.

Start a thread about a topic you want to talk about and it won't get anchored

Fred is just an enforcer. Not a rule maker. He doesn't have that much power. Thank goodness

I was reading through here wondering if anybody was smart enough to think of this answer so I could post it if they didn't. Surprised it was Paige

Fred hinted to this earlier in the thread but y'all skipped right over it. If the admins won't let you have a daily or weekly thread, start a new thread for every workout related topic that would normally be discussed in the daily/weekly thread. There's your answer until we get a health and fitness board

It's clear the fitness folks would like to avoid that charade.

I guess the goal of the admins is more threads = more ads/click revenue rather than more pages on the same thread. With the logic being more people would be more apt to click a single paged specific-topic thread rather than a 53 page "general" topic thread.

And I get it from a revenue perspective but that does not foster a coming together of like-minded people atmosphere and cracking down on it with an iron fist (which is what's happening now) is separating those people with similar interests.
