Had a heart scare during a recent test with my cardiologist and had to get a heart cath done Wednesday. Everything looked good so I’m cleared but they went through my groin artery and I have to be still for 5-7 days. No lifting of anything past a slow walk

I do a good job of maintaining my weight so now I’m scared with my family Christmas tomorrow and the next 5 days I won’t be able to eat much knowing my TDEE will be nothing.

How should I approach?

5 years ago yesterday, I had a testicle cut out of me due to cancer, so I think I can help here.

Relax and enjoy the holiday with your family. You just had a heart scare; enjoy yourself!

Don't eat like a savage, but enjoy it and don't be THAT GUY, "Oh, I can't have a bite of that! I'm watching my figure through the holidays."

shite man. Congrats for surviving that

Puts things in perspective. I’m such an active guy it drives me nuts to sit still for a week. I have a plug holding my artery together so I’m afraid to move too much

I know the feeling. Just remember, it's only a week. Honestly, most of that time is now a blur for me. I do remember that while I was laid up, I became a stopping point in the house. It was nice. People came to see me, bring me food, and pain killers. Its a hell of a way to spend Christmas .

Understand as my Hubble had cardiac ablation in hospital and just moving him from one bed to another in his room, it started bleeding in his groin. Nurse had to call doc and he came and applied pressure until it stopped. He couldn’t move in bed after that per MD orders. Glad you’re thinking about what you should eat.
