I have to take Clipro for the next 12 days due to an infection. Every online article I read says that clipro in particular causes tendons to weaken and can lead to ruptures. Any advice or experience with this? I am a runner who has been sticking to easy paced runs during the duration of the medication. Is this something I should be concerned with?

I wouldn’t run on it if I were you. Chance of tendon rupture is much higher if on steroids and cipro, but cipro alone can do it. I’ve seen bilateral Achilles rupture in a 20 yo swimmer from it.

Don’t take Cipro.

That shite made me sick for 8 months, had peripheral neuropathy, muscle spasms, lost 30lbs of muscle.

No one in my family is allowed to touch that stuff, I thought I was crippled for life.

Sounds like Clipro is a bad drug. Why is it so harmful?
