Whats your point? Someone that can only squat 225 would get an increase to, say, 275 with gear. Those dudes are strong, but the gear artificially increases their "strength." weak dudes get an increase too.

to me they are too totally different sports. Its like the difference between strongman and powerlifting or crossfit & weightlifting.

geared lifting isnt really my thing but i do plan to get a sling shot soon to use a variant.

No, I trained for a specific meet about three to four years ago. He only let me train basically because we are both Miss State alumni.
