Lose 20-25 lbs

Starting 21 day fix meal plan Monday. It isn't the easiest meal plan to follow...but last time I did it I dropped 5 lbs and 5 inches in 3 weeks.

I want to like what I see in the mirror again, that's my overall goal.

Mine is mostly general fitness, however I don't enjoy working out. To find my motivation I've leaned that I need to keep the outdoors involved. I've recently started doing one big outdoor adventure/ challenge each year. Having something substantial on the horizon makes me stay focused and figure out how to prepare and train for the challenge at hand.

I'm probably in the best shape of my life at 37.

I would like my waist to stay under 32, but my beer drinking is not helping at all.

Stay between 185-190 and hover around 10% BF.

As long as I can still run under 7:00 min mile and play BB full court I'll be happy.

I used to care about my bench, squat, deadlifts, but I have come to the conclusion that my joints don't care about those #'s.

I have hurt myself to often trying to go heavy, not worth it in my mind, but that's me!

I started following Julian Smith on IG, dude knows his shite. Slow and controlled and I no longer have joint issues. I use a lot less weight and feel great

Officially signed up for the October NOLA Ironman 70.3. Been saying I was doing it, but finally paid the entry fee. Been doing sprints and Olympic distance with the goal of eventually knocking out a full ironman. Hopefully my schedule allows for a full next year.

Now to fix this damned achilles issue so I can start running again.

I had a half/full iron man in mind but Jesus I hate the thought of swimming that far and sitting on a bike for 6 hours.

Swimming is the easiest part once you learn how to swim (if you never swam competitively). It's not easy to go fast, but to simply make the distance is pretty easy. I literally went from one length of the pool at a time, to learning how to swim 500 yards (20 lengths) at a time over 3 or 4 weeks. All from youtube videos. Once I hit 500, I literally jumped all the way up to a mile without stopping. Wasn't fast, but once you figure it out, the endurance is much easier to build than running and biking. In fact I rarely swim more than 500 yards at a time because I've learned that distance isn't hard. Spend more time doing short intervals to improve technique to get better speed.

Building up bike miles isn't that hard either compared to running. Granted biking was what originally drew me to triathlon anyway, so I enjoy it.

Now doing them all one after another......

I train for activities as well. In fact, the only way I workout is to sign up for something significant. I like the "off road/ outdoor" type of events.

In the last few years I've done a Mt Rainier Climb, kayak races of 110 and 340 miles and now I'm training for a 170 mile self supported ultra marathon. Since I've started the run training I've lost about 15 pounds. Have about 10-15 left to go before the late September race. At 48 years of age, it will be the lightest I've been in years.

I got into it for sports, continued for swoleness, now I do it for health, functional fitness, and as a mood enhancer. If I miss several workouts my mental outlook takes a downward turn.

To have strong joints and good conditioning going into my 50's

I hit that 10k time goal, but my knees have been rebelling the past two years. I thought I was done w running for good but I'm trying to coax them back for a slow half marathon this summer. It'll be the first in two years.

I'm doing my PT exercises and I mix up running w swimming, biking, elliptical machine w lateral movement, skiing, etc. But I have a feeling I'm going to have to have replacement surgery at some point. Genetics.

This year's goal was to not gain sympathy weight like I did when my son was born.

Now that the new baby is here I want to focus on getting stronger, again.

I've lost 100 pounds in 18 months. Would like to drop 80 more then looking into skin removal surgery. After that would like to look like the Rock. Probably unattainable but can't stop trying.

Squats - 365 (goal 415)
Bench - 275 (goal 315)
Deadlift- 385 (goal 425)

To clarify I was 300lbs at 16 and played football. maintained that size through most of my 20's but was still obese. Between 28 and 36 got up to 400lbs. Knew I had to make a changes and went to work. Never considered weight-loss surgery wanted to do it naturally.

Not be too jiggly. Squat 600, bench 400, deadlift 600. I'm
that close to these numbers, but they are obtainable if I stay healthy. 220lbs to go on the total to get there. Got into powerlifting a couple years ago and it's all I think about.
