Good quality, cheap and taste good. Oh and has plenty of glutamine.

Cons:only a 2:1 ratio. Should be 6:1 for best results.

I like xtend and use it often if I catch it on a sale.

Thx guys. I went by gnc and saw the price at $21.99 and it is part of a bogo 50% On anything deal.

Check out Amazon for better deals than GNC. The prices will vary flavor to flavor, but are typically cheaper. I get the 90 servings size option because the price per serving is a better deal.

What do you recommend generally. Best combo of price and quality?

honestly I recommend the following in order of preference, understand this list is about strictly the best, not convenience.

first off, order the Biotest Liquid Intensified Flavorings LINK for the true nutrition bulk powders.

From there I recommend in order of best to still very good and this is for only those that practice IF and lift fasted, not for those that lifting during the eating window

1) Pepto Pro from true nutrition with BCAA and EAA boost

2)EAA instantized from true nutrition, add glutamine in some form as it is missing. Also if taking as an intra workout, add beta alanine and citriline mallate

3) EAA Plus from True Nutrition.

4) Rise Perfomance BCAA 10:1. This is a good formula for premixed BCAA. A1Supplements has it as a BOGO right now too.

For those that lift not fasted I recommend the following

1) Pre and Intra- Truenutrition custom formula of 35% peptp pro and 65% Highly Branched Cyclic Dextrin with Electrolyte and EAA boost. Mix 2 scoops of this this with the biotest flavors, 5g creatine, 5g bulk citruline mallate, 3g beta Alanine and drink one 20 min before the workout and sip one during the workout. This is similar to BIOTEST PLazma but much cheaper.

2) Post workout would be Truenutrition competitive post workout formula. 3 scoops. Get unflavored and use the biotest flavorings.

3)MPA muscle intrusion from TN or any Matt Porter Product really.

4)Peri-MD from TN.

5) Rise Performance BCAA for intra
6) Original Hemavol for preworkout simply as a pump product.

I am not big on stimulant laced pre workouts. But if you are looking for stimd out effect I recommend Jacked Up as it is the same formula as the original Jack3D. But it is not nearly as effective as the others for simple performance long term imo.

I use their "Free" option without colors/flavors and it tastes fine.

Nope, civil engineer/project manager in the petrochem industry.

I just like to read. I am one of those guys if you ask me a question and I don't know I will tell you, but the next morning I will be an expert on what you asked me about because I will spend 12 hours straight learning everything I can about it.

Fitness happens to be my passion, so it's like 10 fold on that. Plus most normal people watch TV, I dont, only when sitting in the hot tub do I watch any tv, I read in my down time and with having young kids and wife that goes to sleep at 8, I have plenty of time to read.

Plus like engineering and most things, this stuff just makes sense and is easy to understand for me.

I do IF, but lift about 2 hours after lunch when I leave work. Looks like it'd be cheaper for me to lift fasted based on your recommendations

I've only been using Xtend Scivation BCAAs. Worth the switch to the true nutrition custom blends? Just so easy to click a flavor on Amazon and have it delivered...which is why I'm now second-guessing it.

I'm also interested in this true nutrition stuff you are recommending. I'm reading up on it on now, but not sure what it is. Also, any flavors that you recommend? TIA

We may cross paths one day since I do some work in the same industry

I rarely watch TV myself. Mainly due to lack of interest.

Honestly unless you are really really into this and have been doing it a long time, just stick to bcaas if it's more convenient. You would notice a difference but prolly not enough to make it worth the hassle for you.

If you are using true nutrition stuff other than whey and casein, I suggest ordering one of each of the biotest flavorings and getting the TN bulk powders unflavored.

Good deal. I'll stick with my cheap, easy ones then. As always, appreciate your input
