Decided to pull the trigger on these Adizero unisex Primes on Amazon (sold by Amazon). If legit, this will be the best shoe deal I've ever gotten. Went half size larger.

Am I missing something here? The link you posted shows them at $180?

Yup, you missed getting them for 30 bucks. It’s amazon baw, prices fluctuate like a sumbitch. That was the page I got them from.

Dayum! So that's really a $180 dollar shoe? Hellz yeah that's a steal at $40 bones. Never heard of the shoe but I'm intrigued. 6.6 oz?

Now that the shoe thread is alive again -->

For the experts here, I need a "fast" training shoe recommendation for Hal Higdon's 4 - 8 mile marathon pace runs...I'm fine to get a shoe for my faster days.

I currently run in the Adizero Boston ( BRM's jackrabbit rec) and race in the 4%.

I've read the thread but was hoping for some advice...I'll even take a stretch and try something new and do a review, if it's not a good for me I'll donate them at fleet feet, no worries.

Those Boston’s are made for what you are trying to do. It’s a marathoning shoe/race shoe. You don’t need another pair of shoes for tempo work. Now if you want another pair that’s something else entirely.

Thanks, that's good to hear. Since they were such a good deal, I didnt know if I could use them for everything.

I will stick with them , even if I have to pay a higher price retail vs. jackrabbit.

How do you find these when they drop like that.

Every other version of that shoe is $80 except for the blue size 9.

Running is my hobby and I ain't got anything better to do but frequent running sites and shoe sites. I know its kinda funny/sad but I look at this way, I spent probably the same amount of time looking at running shoe sites/ezines that most people do on news sites except I'm much happier.

runrepeat
runningshoesguru
outsidemagazine
runnersworld(rarely)
gearpatrol
gearjunkie

And I configure my google news to show me the running news and outdoorsy crap I like.

I agree with everything you said. I spend the majority of my time on the Letsrun boards and this board, but maybe I should start perusing shoe sites for deals also.

I'm too busy enjoying life to care.

Yeah it's really bad. It's one of the biggest bunch of try hards on the internet. Even the site owners are trolls.

No doubt about it. Comedy relief. I take it all with a grain.

Oh I was joking. I’m the same. Life’s too short to get caught up in it all the time. I do listen to an occasional podcast while doing a long run.

One of the longest runs I’ve done I was listening to Joe Rogan interview Alex Jones. I only stopped to laugh but I could have kept going.

Oh, I’m not saying you were being serious by any means. I was more making a statement that most people view politics like they were rooting for sports teams. I have absolutely no time for that bullshite.

Yea, I've used them for everything since he recommended them , except for race day.

For my ranges, I've used them from around 8:15 - 10:50 + 400's and strides and over 300 miles so far.

They have also been my shoe during summer where they get drenched in sweat & 100+ degree asphalt.

I've been injury / nagging free so far so I'm in no hurry to change.(I have lost 31 pounds & go to chiropractor monthly which helps )
