I do that a couple times a year to tighten up my heel cup.

We have a MSB thread for this.

Giro thread

Anyways put in 75 miles today w/ 5100’ of climbing. Felt pretty strong the whole time. Fueling well really makes a difference

Did 35 wet miles yesterday, and 1.5 hours on the trainer this morning. The weather was great here most of the day, but Mother’s Day duties kept me off of the road.

Does anyone know how to get Rouvy or FulGaz rides to show up in the Zwift Companion app?

Is anyone doing the LAMBRA time trial on 5/25?

Boot dryer has become an absolutely essential part of our race travel kit.

Skipped yesterday morning and paid for it by putting a in hard session last night. New 20 minute power.

Trying to alternate with VO2 Max (2 sessions) and Zone 2 (2 or 3 sessions) during the week on the trainer, then use Saturday road rides and/or Sunday road/gravel/trainer as sweet spot/threshold training.

228 is the new one. 2.86w/kg.

I’ve only really been cycling for a few months, so I’m pretty steadily setting new PR’s. This was SST Bursts 8 on Zwift. A couple stronger riders I know set their 20 minute power PR’s with that one, too.

Our riding group has a Tuesday evening ride that I haven't been on, yet. But I'm afraid that would mess up training a bit, as they go hard on Tuesday for 35-45 miles, and it's tough for me to turn it off when I'm in the group. I may plug that in as a sweet spot/threshold session after the gravel race on 5/31, and make Sunday a straight Zone 2 training day on road/gravel/trainer.

I’m currently building for triple bypass in July. Currently doing VO2 max, zwift race, ss/threshold session in that order. Weekends are usually 4+ hr one day with efforts thrown in plus a chill ride the other day

That looks like a good one. There’s a post-grad student I ride with from Utah and she’s doing LoToJa this year. It’ll be a while before I’m in shape enough to do either of those.

Cycling will teach you what this is with a quickness. So much more so than running for me. Or at least the pace of progress is soooooooo muchhhhhh slowwwwwwwweeerrrr. My bad habit is comparing myself to guys in our group that have been riding for years.

1 hour in low Zone 2 last night. Dead legs from Monday leg day and VO2 Max.

26 minute VO2 Max this morning.

it's all relative. progress can be slow or fast just depending on where you are and how you're training. dont try to compare yourself to guys with thousands of miles in the legs.

Keep in mind, when i say plateau of fitness... i'm there because that's where i want to be with nothing coming up. i'm not trying to get burned out training for group rides. it's a plateau but i'm still maintaining a 330-340w 20 minute power

did the wednesday lunch time hammer ride a little earlier. 35ish miles, warm up for 5 miles, go crazy, cool down for 5ish miles. moderately hard today, biggest sustained effort in the middle of the hard part for me was 305w avg for 28min

I’m told I’m progressing quickly, but it doesn’t feel like it. Run intervals always provided pretty immediate (a week) feedback and results. Not so with cycling. I read somewhere that adaptations take up to 30 days and I believe it.

How long have you been at it? Those numbers are strong.

Yea you're not going to see progression in weeks. if you do a month long training block you should see results from that, but you wont see results from a week or 2 of intervals.

i've been riding since college, probably ~20 years with a couple years long breaks mixed in. but i've been on the bike for 8ish years consistently up to now

Finished my 3 day block felt good at the end of today. Good signs given I did a 1:45 hr zwift race yesterday with an NP of 270 sea level adjusted. Now a break this weekend due to plans with the wife. Rest week next week then something big on the weekend
