You probably don't mean it, but your argument has essentially been cold plunges negate any hypertrophy, and that's false. There is balance to life and health. I'm balancing mental health vs physical health. Guess what? I'm gaining muscle while also cold plunging, and I'm also lowering my mental stress levels. Could I be gaining more muscle? For sure. Is the cold plunge the main culprit? Unlikely. Time, personal commitment, and diet have way more affect on my muscle growth than a cold plunge.

i didnt say it negated any hypertrophy I said it blunts hypertrophic response when done right after exercise and that it doesnt really have any health benefits like reducing inflammation but it does release NA and dopamine so if you like it and think it helps you mentally...keep doing it

essentially the same thing you just said.

It absolutely decreases inflammation

If it does decrease inflammation, why would you want to decrease inflammation when inflammation of the muscle leads to muscle growth? Unless you are dealing with an injury, of course.

See my posts at end of thread. I don't necessarily want hypertrophy.

It's a good read. Different perspectives. I love all the ideas out there.

It's also a factor of time. If you're wanting to build a lot of muscle, yeah, don't jump in the cold plunge right after you exercise. In my case, I'll plunge about 5:30-6 in the morning, and go to the gym for an hour at about 11. That's an ~18 hour time difference between the the end of my workout and the start of my next plunge.
