This seems to be a positive attitude adjustor. Best wishes for your success.

Are you going to bed earlier in the evening now, taking naps during the day, or no sleepiness effect at all during your day?

Fasted walks last 3 mornings at 5:45am. Was on a silent retreat, so I didn't use my phone. Hope to be checking back in tomorrow

Never heard of this, but my morning routine is similar. I wake up insanely early for the silence, though I watch TV. I need to put meditation back in while coffee is going. I exercise and then read a bit while cooling off before jumping into the "cool shower". I use to journal, but this was at the end of the day while sipping on a glass of wine, my reflective period.

My current evening routine is trying to shut it down by 7-8pm and reading the basic kindle for an hour, then bed. Those kindles do not have the blue light like other tablets.

Haven’t been checking in the past few days. I’ve been waking up at 5:30, but unfortunately technical issues at work sucked up all my early morning time. Those production issues have since been fixed, and I’m going to get back into the routine tomorrow.

I paradoxically seem to have more energy when I start my day intentionally like this. The mind/body is a very complex thing, and we still don’t quite understand sleep.

Of course there a general correlation between adequate sleep = energy the next day, but there are definitely some caveats to that. How often have you overslept and it threw off your whole day-making you feel like you were in a fog?

ETA: I do try to get to bed earlier, but that doesn’t always happen. The key is to not focus negatively with mantras like “aw man, now I only have 5 hours of sleep. I’m going to be EXHAUSTED!”

Thanks! I have found that with purpose, my daily life has improved immensely. The sleep quotient gets solved with much better sleep too. Keep focused on your success!

I really need to try this when going for walks. I'm all up in my phone or listening to podcasts. I bet it's relaxing to be outdoors walking when the sun isn't up yet with nothing playing in your ears.

If I'm at the gym on a treadmill, I like podcasts too. I find it a good time to learn about health/fitness stuff. But if I'm doing some early morning exercise outside, I definitely enjoy the serenity of nature- reminds me of being in a deer stand on a morning hunt!
