Keep it going. You will go through periods is stagnating then dropping pounds. You may want to try to throw a couple of 48 or 72 hour fasts in every month to jumpstart weight loss.

I’m actually starting another 72 hour fast today because I completely bad carb loaded yesterday and broke my diet. Gonna restart Keto because I am soo close to my goal weight.

This is a great idea. Everyone could benefit from 72hr fasts even reasonably lean people.

I need advice. I go to the gym very early in the morning. I don’t have a lot of time, so I usually just down a bulletproof coffee and I’m on my way. Is this okay? Should I try to eat something before? Does it matter if it’s a cardio day vs weights vs yoga? I want to maximize the effect of my workout and am getting mixed reviews on eating before or after my workout and what to eat. TIA

Exactly like Chappy said. I personally also donfasted workouts exclusively. Give it a try and you’ll find out everything you’ve been told or thought about energy and fasting is wrong.

Have been wanting to start intermittent fasting and knew that bp coffee was interrupting the cycle. I thought my workout would suffer without caffeine, but I’ll give it a try this week.

Thanks to you and Chappy for setting me straight. There’s nothing worse than putting time in at the gym only to find out you’re not using that time efficiently. So far I’m finding that the keto lifestyle for me is more about unlearning that learning.

If you want the energy boost from the caffeine either drink black coffee or caffeine pills (not recommended). That’s fine, but the BP coffee isn’t necessary.

Quick update from me...went to Bodyspec in Culver City to get a DXA Scan done. Right about where I expected. 17.9% BF mostly around my gynoid region. RMR 1,894 calories. Visceral adipose tissue measure at 0.50 lbs. Bone density was 1.5 which is 93% (%population greater than) which I was a little surprised it was so low. I’m pretty symmetrical with lean muscle mass except for my right leg has about a pound more lean mass than my left leg does.

Yesterday was 4 weeks in the books. I had 2 days of golf and drank a few beer each day. My body rejected that idea and made me feel like shite Sunday night. I was barely able to eat yesterday. I did workout really hard yesterday. Today, I feel much better and back to what is now normal.

I am down on the scale 17lbs. I have way more strength and endurance in the gym. My clothes are fitting me way better to the point where I am about to need all new shirts and pants. I am hoping I can finish the school year with my current clothes. My goal is to be at 240 for Mardi Gras.

The eating has gotten very easy. I still track in carb manager, but I have got it down to where I probably don't need it anymore. It just keeps me straight. Breakfast is an Atkins shake, lunch is left overs, snack is usually almonds, and dinner is some recipe we find on the internet each day.

My wife is down 10lbs and at least 1 pant size. She is looking great and is well on her way to her goal.

265/248/225 I'll reassess at 225, but I can already tell that 215-205 may be a possibility. I'm 6'3"

You’re doing great. Once you drop all the weight people will start commenting and then eventually they will try it as well.

$45 for one or $85 for two. That’s through Bodyspec the only company I’ve ever dealt with.

Thanks. It’s already starting to happen. I’ve got a few friends starting this week. They are scared I’ll be smaller than them most are interested in the anti-inflammatory and extra energy effects.

Cool, that's not too bad at all cost wise (less than I thought) & since you've only used Bodyspec, I can only assume you've been happy with how they operate

Thanks

I have been on keto for two weeks. What I was looking for was to reduce inflammation as I have inflammatory osteoarthritis, especially in my hands. This absolutely is working. My hands are virtually pain free for the first time in two years. My macros are not ideal: about 65/30/5 but I am down 7 lbs with 5 to go. So hard to get fat at 75%. So maybe I am really more low carb or pseudoketo but in any case I am very happy. Now if only I could shake my daily 20oz bottle of Diet Mountain Dew. Lol.

So i have been on keto 5 weeks. I am 6 feet and was 194 lbs. I am down to 183. Goal is 176-178ish. I am going to pick back up working out but wanted to focus on one thing at a time.

Here is my question. What is the best way to have a proper cleanse. I feel like I am carrying alot with all of the cheese I have been eating. A cup or two of community with chicory used to do the trick but not anymore. Any good ways to clean out the system without be beholden to the porcelain throne for a whole weekend?

Coffee and Metamucil work like a charm. Had issues at first but not anymore. Hope this helps.

Pop a colace mid afternoon. You should be done by mid morning the next day.

For daily use, put a teaspoon of coconut oil in your coffee.

Yeah I saw Bodyspec on GoodyBeats YouTube channel and decided to search it. They are in the Los Angeles, PNW, and Austin/San Marcos areas I think. I also priced another company in Vegas, but it was significantly more.

Bodyspec also does specific RMR, VO2 max, etc. I haven’t done those services yet, but their DXA scans are quick and they explain your results in great detail.

30% protein is the absolute max I would go. If you want to use Keto for it’s more therapeutic anti-inflammatory properties you should be somewhere 75-80% fat.

NVM saw you said Diet Mountain Dew
