Testing negative for Covid within the 10 days of testing positive

My youngest tested positive for Covid last Monday morning. She literally had symptoms for two hours (slight fever). Her fever was gone by the time we brought her to the doctor. She has been isolated since then, zero signs since Monday morning.
Every doctor says she has to isolate for 10 days. We don’t know how long she had it before Monday. If we get her tested today and it’s negative, do we still follow the 10 day quarantine?
I know this sounds like a stupid question and pretty sure the answer is no, but can you still be contagious if you had it but now tests negative?
We contact traced everyone she came in contact with last weekend (she spent the night at two different places Fri & Sat night, and had a team Christmas party Sun night). No one has it (or at least showing symptoms).
We think she got it from school somewhere around Wed-Friday.

Depends, were they the same type of test?

My understanding is that if you are fever free for 24 hours and test negative, you’re in the clear.
We had someone at work test positive and they came back five days later. The two coworkers who had to quarantine due to exposure to her were negative but had to quarantine for two weeks. Considering the girl who was positive never had bad symptoms, it was better for her to get it than those that didn’t.

Our youngest just had it. Mild case like a stomach bug but with the added loss of taste/smell. The doc said he was good to go 7 days after the first signs of symptoms.
