Specifically my hemoglobin level being at 18.2 and my hematocrit level being at 54.4.
I went donate blood yesterday to help lower those numbers, and I have doctors orders to donate every two weeks.
Now I'm aware that these are caused by the doctor prescribed test I was taking, and I've since lowered the dosage myself even though the doctor is still prescribing me the same amount as before. I have more blood work in a couple weeks to see if things are getting better or staying the same.
Some of you may recall a while back I had bloodwork done and I shot up the evening before my labs, and because my test levels were so high, doc told me to cut out the test completely until my appointment with him. I was off of it for about three weeks and my test was at 229 last monday. So obviously I took a shot after that blood work, but only took 100mg instead of the prescribed 200mg.
So my question (777) is this: besides avoiding foods high in iron, and donating blood, what are steps I can take to keep those two levels within the normal range while still taking the prescribed amount of test?
ETA: I've started taking my astragalus root, milk thistle, and citrus bergamot again, and have bottles of carditone and nattokinase on order because I'm currently out of those.

You staying super hydrated? That’s the best and easiest fix. 18/54 is pretty high but people in high altitudes live perfectly fine with those numbers. I’m on the fence about the donating thing since it’s an ultra temporary fix. It’ll just trigger your body to produce more RBC’s. I had labs yesterday and was very pleased with my 16/47 H&H on 250mg/TestC a week.

I thought it was odd my numbers were that high, simply because I've been on the same dosage or close to the same dosage for like two years and now all of a sudden the numbers are high.
I drink around a gallon of water a day, typically.

Just curious, but why biking, specifically?
Do you mean any form of cardio?
Are you assuming my levels are high because I'm fat and out of shape?

Sorry. A high hematocrit is highly advantageous in sports where aerobic performance is the main dictator in the outcome. E.G cycling, running, swimming, rowing etc. anything above 50 is high like you noted so you are going to be well in those sports.

I am not fond of the activities you listed, please adjust your list accordingly
