I've been to Anytime and Snap. Currently at Anytime. Never been to PF. I find the inconsistency is the biggest issue. I have been all over TX, LA, and MS for work and have gone to the gym on vacation. I will look for how big the Mini Mall it is in. If the only have one room, I will go with low expectations and it is usually worse. If they are in multiple units, then they usually have a good bit of equipment. What I do notice at both is that free weights and area will always give way to machines that no one uses.

I use Planet Fitness for cardio and moderate weights. I'm not really looking to get big or anything though, just stay in shape. I go to a country club for golf and tennis but if I had to drive 20 minutes to get to a treadmill I'd never go run so the $10 a month is worth it for me

But I could create a routine that involves lots of Bodyweight moveements, some smith movements, leg press, and BD movements and get a great workout. But eventually you will prolly have to start using rest pause or some other type of intensity techniques because the weights are light.
I'm at Planet Fitness to start over again. Do you have a routine that you would suggest for using what is available at Planet Fitness for weight loss and strength?

Anytime really varies from gym to gym. The one by my house is nice, new, spacious. The one by the office...not as much. But the convenience of having one by my house and the office can’t be beat.

Snap and anytime are your best bet. I would just go in and try both locations closest to you and pick based on the equipment/layout.
Planet fitness doesn’t have squat racks and they feed members pizza while they workout.

Anytime and snap are not expensive
Go to crossfit if you want to pay a lot
