I've never been someone that had abs. I'm about 6'0 185 and been muscular but never had abs. So I was wondering if this app really worked. So I tried it. I went all in, did all the workouts each day. Now, I don't have a 6 pack after 30 days, but the improvement is immense. I could never get that angle showing around the pelvis, no matter how hard I tried. But using this app, I was able to do it in about 45 days.

This is an app that will basically force you to work out your stomach for 20-30 minutes a day (for 3 straight days, then 1 day off, 3 straight days...and so forth). And if you stick with it, you'll get results. I think the reason I wasn't able to before was that I never really focused on working out my stomach a solid 20-30 minutes a day. Ever. And I didn't know the right exercises to do, or really the right duration. But this app details it. I think its the highest rated ab workout in Iphone App store, and the hype is real. And I didn't realize how much better my running got from just being tighter in the waist. It really makes every athletic thing you do better. I wish I'd had this knowledge in high school and college.

How much of your diet did you change?

Didn't change my diet at all. I'm 6'0 and range between 180-190. Always lifted, run/walk around 30 miles a week. Used an ab roller. Never could get abs. Did sit ups. Never could get abs. I got to the point where I thought maybe my body just isn't built for abs. But these exercises, on this app, was what I was missing. I've never in my life dedicated 20-30 minutes a day to just abs. But this app basically forces you to do it. And I think thats what I needed.

What people don't seem to realize is that if you have fat around your midsection, you first have to lose the fat before hoping for an ab workout to give you abs. Ab workouts alone will not burn the fat off. Your diet has to change so you can lose the fat first.

If you're already lean, then its not too difficult to get abs (unless you have bad genetics).

Sounds like you started exercising more (i.e. burning more calories) and lost some fat imo

Exactly, hence my question. Everyone has abs. Everyone has a six pack.

But for most people it’s just covered by fat and bowls of Cap’n Crunch.

Fat wasn't the issue. It was building muscle in the correct places, and working out specific muscles that I didn't know how to get too without these exercises. I run/walk about 35 miles a week and I don't eat that many calories. So I was doing everything to have a flat stomach, and I did. But I never had any abs. And I always had that soft tissue around my obliques that I could never get rid off.

I used to think 7 minute abs was bs. And I still do. But i'm a believer now if you devote 20-30 minutes, only on your core stomach, you will get results. Most people including myself never did just that area for that long of time. It was always a few situps, few crunches and then move on to arms or legs. But you basically gotta put in the same amount of time you'd do arms or legs, on your stomach if you want it ripped. And i used to think that was just something for the beach and didn't really help athletic activity, but I was wrong. If you got a strong core you get so much better at everything else.

I wouldn’t go that far but I get what you are saying. Many people, particularly obese people, have extremely poor core strength and atrophied abdominal muscles. Being able to see 6 pack abs is equally as much of dietary changes as it is ab workouts.
