I think it will be a little special to run in a 5k event the morning of Thanksgiving.

Was in Destin several years ago and most of the family registered for the 30A 5K or 10K on Thanksgiving day. My girlfriend is a former competitive half and full marathon runner and saw the prices for it and scoffed.
We ended up doing the Recycle Run in Ft. Walton Beach and had a great time. Good route, after event with kegs and cookies, and cool concept. All recycled trophies and race t-shirts.

Yep. Bham Thanksgiving 5/10K
There’s no excuses to miss this one. Huge turnout for a great cause. No one has ANYTHING else to do that morning. Go run the 10K and come back and eat guilt free!
